COVID-19 Statement

Health Matters

As Chartered Structural Engineers, much of our work involves inspecting people’s homes, schools, offices, construction sites, etc. Inevitably, we encounter homeowners, their families or friends, members of the public and contractors on a regular basis. We are mindful of the concerns and risks regarding Coronavirus (Covid-19) and would like to reassure you that your health along with that of our own, is our primary concern.

Inspection Procedures

Whilst Government have provided advice on what precautions to take when visiting properties to undertake surveys/inspections, we as a company have decided to be more cautious. When booking an inspection with us, we shall provide information to you on what you or the occupiers can expect from us and what we expect from you or the occupiers.
The precautions we are taking, including extensive use of PPE, are for both our customers and clients benefit as well as our own. However, we are acutely aware that however many precautions are taken, there will be some instances where a physical inspection is not possible and this will mean that we need to delay our visit until a time when life has returned closer to normal.
Sometimes, an external inspection only may be adequate. In these instances, we shall explain the limitations before you decide whether or not to instruct us. Where we do not inspect internally, we may ask for photographs and other records of evidence to improve the reliability of our reports.

Changing Times

We continue to monitor advice from Government and the NHS on precautions that we and others should be taking. As advice changes, our own approach will inevitably evolve with it. We will be responsive and responsible, with our clients and our own health at the forefront of everything we do, whilst continuing to do ‘business as normal’ as much as we are able to.

Finally

The coming weeks and months will no doubt continue to be challenging. We are all in this together and we need to hold onto the fact that life for most of us will eventually improve. We are confident that we will continue to provide the services our clients need and are ready to help as far as practically possible and only where safe to do so.

Best Wishes
